1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device. Local storage is a similar browser feature. This website and the external services embedded in it use these technologies to remember choices, protect the donation journey, provide forms and show a secure payment result. Card details are not stored in our cookies or local storage.
2. Technologies used on this site
rfc-cookie-choice — necessary local storageRemembers whether you accepted, rejected or customised the cookie choices. It remains until you change the choice or clear this site's browser storage.
rfc_checkout_return — necessary cookieSecurely associates the browser with a donation checkout so the return can be verified. It is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, lasts no more than two days and is removed after a verified return.
rfc_donation_receipt — necessary cookieAllows the confirmation page to display the verified donation result without putting a private return token in the URL. It is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax and lasts no more than 30 minutes.
WordPress administration cookies — necessaryUsed only for authorised administrators who sign in to manage the site. They are not used to track public visitors.
Stripe technologies — payment securityStripe may set cookies or use similar technologies on its hosted checkout and billing-portal pages to process payments, authenticate users and prevent fraud. Stripe controls their duration under its own policies.
Google Analytics and Google Ads — optionalThese services activate through our consent controls. Analytics helps us understand visits, while Google Ads measures whether advertising leads to a verified donation. The donation conversion event contains only a completion signal and an opaque duplicate-prevention reference; it does not contain the donation amount or donor details. Google controls the duration of its cookies under its own policies.
Monday.com embedded forms — external serviceOur contact and volunteer pages load Monday.com forms immediately. When a form loads, Monday.com may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and security logs, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Information you enter is sent to Monday.com for us to receive and manage your enquiry or application. Read Monday.com's privacy policy and cookie policy.
3. Analytics and marketing
Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement are optional. They remain denied unless you grant the relevant Analytics or Marketing choice. A verified donation conversion is sent to Google Ads only when Marketing consent is granted. The embedded Monday.com forms are external service content disclosed in section 2 and continue to load immediately so the forms are ready to use.
4. Your choices
Necessary technologies cannot be switched off through our controls because the website or donation confirmation would not work reliably without them. You can reject optional categories, change your choice at any time or clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking all cookies may prevent the donation confirmation or external forms from working correctly.
